I used to volunteer regularly at the SPCA walking a few dogs a morning around the vicitnity. There, I was trained to deal with high-stress situations and large dogs. The dogs in the SPCA are easily-worked-up because they spend most of their hours of their day in their kennels -- I tried to change that as much as I could by bringing them out to release their pent up energy.

I also have experience with German shepherd mixes so I know how to deal with larger dogs. I also have experience dealing with behavioural problems such as food guarding, aggression, and violent leash pulling.

I specialise in positive-reinforcement training with the SPCA dogs. This includes only rewarding the dogs whenever they exhibit desirable behaviour such as responding to their name, performing tricks, sitting down voluntarily, and keeping calm. I believe in this method of training as it encourages the dogs to exhibit desirable behaviour automatically and without having to first make a command. This also eliminates the possibility of the dog reacting violently to punishment.

Personally, I do not own any dogs but I dogsit and walk my uncle's dog regularly. So far, I have taught him to stay down, jump up on his hind legs, and stay. He is a 7-year-old sheltie -- very obedient but easily excitable and scared of rain clouds.

I am a patient person but also a fast-thinker who will definitely take good care of your fur baby during our walks together. I'm also reasonably fit (please see photos) so I can jog with your doggo and handle larger dogs as well!

I will:

🐾 bring your dog out for 15-30min to a nearby park

🐾 jog with your dog if required

🐾 practice tricks (on request)

🐾 take photos of your fur kid (on request)
