About Winona

Hello! My name is Winona and I'm currently pursuing my PhD at NTU. I grew up with cats, having grown up with at least one at any given time in my family home! I'm looking to do some cat sitting/visits to spend more time with animals in my spare time.

Areas covered:

I am based at Tiong Bahru, and I'm happy to cover the surrounding areas (e.g., Tanglin, Orchard, River Valley, Outram, Tiong Bahru, Telok Blangah, Redhill, Bukit Merah, Queenstown). Please do message me if you're further away and I'll see if I can make it :)

My experience with cats:

I’ve had 7 cats over the past 20 years, they were all strays who decided to call my family home theirs. My parents made sure that my siblings and I were involved in caring for them; the last two lives harmoniously with a dachshund! Since moving to Singapore, I haven’t had a cat of my own, but I did cat-sit a couple of times and the experience really grew on me. It was fun figuring out the cat's quirks and its favorite scratching spots, and having it add a bit of structure to my days—especially with its punctual mealtime reminders.

My experience with dogs:

I must admit that I used to be pretty scared of dogs, but everything changed since we got a dachshund in 2022! Walking dogs gives me space to relax, and some great to run with as well! Affectionate and cuddly pups also have a special place in my heart.

I can walk dogs for up to 10km distance, and run for up to 5km.

Extra things for your peace of mind!

I will make sure to send updates and pictures (or cutesy videos!) daily so you know that your pets are well-taken care of. I can also do side quests such as watering your plants or bringing in any packages or mail!

On bookings:

Please note that if you can't select your desired dates, it means that I am not available. Really sorry about that -- I currently only have the capacity to manage one booking at a time! For house sittings, if your pet needs constant supervision, I might not be the most suitable person for you as I will need to run some errands daily (3-4 hours daily) and I may need to work from the office from time to time. Do let me know when you book so we can discuss this further!
