Hello👋 I'm Rene! 

I decided to be on pawshake as a pet sitter/dog walker as I really do love & enjoy taking care of animals. I've always wanted to work with animals and have had the experience of being a part-time vet nurse for about a year and animal handler for 1.5 years whilst I was in poly. Life had other plans for me and I ended up doing something different but still always have the love for animals. A friend actually introduced me to pawshake and I was immediately intrigued by the idea of helping other pet owners care for their pets. I understand how anxiety-inducing it is to let a stranger care for your pets which is why I will go above & beyond to put your mind at ease.

Experience-wise: I've been a pet owner of hamsters, rabbits, terrapins, guinea pigs, budgies and currently 2 adorable cats which I've had since 2015. Also, I used to volunteer at Animals Lover League walking dogs for a few years & have been regularly providing dog walking services on pawshake since Feb 2023. I've handled small to large dogs, dogs with seperation anxiety, anxious dogs, energetic pullers & chronically ill dogs. Every animal is different so I try my best to adapt my approach to them that would best meet their needs. 

My goal in being here is to ensure your pet is safe, happy and loved while you are away as I would like someone similar if they were to care for my own pets. Feel free to ask me any questions, I would be happy to help you with anything you are unsure of!
