Hello, I'm Jeanette! I am and always have been a dog fanatic since a young age, a common experience my parents faced is me begging them to get me a dog, but currently my circumstances bar me from getting one. I am fascinated in the idea of a man's best friend, the one creature in the world that will love you unconditionally and never stray away from your side. This led me to PetShake and other pet sitting websites, where I am able to help my community by keeping their furry friends company and form relationships with them! I have been walking dogs for 1.5 years now 🐕🐾

My walking philosophies:

⁃ I have previous experience dog walking and have walked both big breeds (eg. golden retriever) and small breeds (eg. toy poodle). I am familiar with handling different energy and behavioral types.

⁃ I am patient with learning your dogs mannerisms and habits, and also enjoy talking to them and cheering them on on our walks.

⁃ When your dog and I are together, it has my undivided attention.

⁃ I am willing to follow any provided instructions given by owners to the letter and will always prioritize your dog's safety and comfort above all things. :)

DOG WALKING INFO:

⁃ I am based in Queenstown and will be accepting offers in my area (Central & West)*. I charge a base fee of $18 for a 30 minute walk, prices will fluctuate if you would like a longer duration (1h/$22).

⁃ Walks at Queenstown will typically be around Meiling Street neighbourhood area, Alexandra Park Canal, Alexandra Park Connector.

⁃ I am mostly available in the mornings (9-12pm) and in the evenings (5-7pm). Contact me for a slot, even if you are seeking afternoon timings (subject to availability).

⁃ A typical dog walking experience with me will include moderate pace walking, or brisk walking if requested, as well as picking up poop.

⁃ I will also wipe paws and clean backside if requested. I can also hose and dry.

⁃ If you have a house and yard, I can also play with them inside. Walks can be split into walk + play, walk + basic training reinforcement session, etc. Requests are subject to reasonableness.

⁃ If you have any special accommodations you would like to include, feel free to let me know.

⁃ Please provide leash, collar, poop bags and anything else you deem necessary for the walk as I will not be providing them.

⁃ For elder or disabled dogs, I require instructions on the suitable pace for your dog and other modifications to the walk (eg. carrying up stairs). The more thorough you can be, the better.

⁃ For dogs with behavioral tendencies (skittish, fear of other dogs, etc), I would also require informance and handling instructions beforehand.

⁃ Size wise, I can handle dogs up to 40kg, I'm a female young adult.

As per legal Pawshake requirements, please ensure that there is:

⁃ Easy and safe access to your house/apartment

⁃ Walking equipment, poop bags and towel

⁃ * If the owner has a security camera inside or outside the house, you need to disclose this to me, the sitter.
