Hello! I am a university student with a very free schedule and I would love to spend that free time taking care of your beloved pets.
Experience
I have volunteered in both local and overseas animal shelters, dealing with both wildlife and pets. In Singapore, I have volunteered with Action for Singapore Dogs and Causes For Animal Singapore.
I have experience with both big and small animals and have fostered/owned almost every single type of pet you can own in Singapore. Having owned three siberian hamsters, a harlequin rabbit, a pomeranian, a golden retriever and two red ear sliders (terrapins), I am well-equipped to handle pretty much anything your pet may require.
I have also fostered kittens from as young as 4 weeks old and a baby bird (bulbul) that was only 2 weeks old.
Experience with dogs
Having volunteered with many Singapore specials and being the owner of a Goldie, I am confident with handling large dogs and aso have experience doing some basic training. I am a big girl and can handle strong dogs. I have had a dog since I was a baby and have trained every single dog I had. If you would like me to do some basic training with your dog (e.g. sit, stay), I would be happy to work on these commands with your dog on our walks or house sitting activities (though multiple sessions may be required depending on the dog).
Experience with cats
Having fostered two kittens and having volunteered at animal shelters with cats, I am also experienced with handling cats of all sizes and ages. No toys? No worries. I have entertained many cats using nothing more than pieces of paper and string which are useful for enriching your pets’ mind.
Experience with birds
I have fostered 2 baby birds. One was an abandoned bulbul that was only 2 weeks old and a budgie that was only 3 weeks old. Both were successfully raised, weaned and were adopted by good homes. As such, I have experience raising small birds. Do note however that very young birds have very low chances of survival. Young birds also require near constant feeding.
I have experience with bulbul and budgies and can help to clean your cages if required.
Bigger birds like Amazon parrots will unfortunately not be accepted as I do not have the experience yet. This is in the interest of your pets as I do not want to take on an animal if I am not a 100% confident I can meet its needs.
Experience with hamsters/rabbits
I have owned a couple of hamsters. As such, I am very experienced with handling hamsters. I have also previously volunteered at a rabbit rehabilitation center and am comfortable handling rabbits.
Rabbits and hamsters will be given adequate free roam time under strict supervision for their health.
If required, I can also help to clean the cages of rabbits and hamsters.
My philosophy
I am a firm believer of positive training and would NEVER use force or unpleasant stimuli to correct your pet’s behaviour. I would also expect all my clients to have the same approach to training and pet care. Any abuse of pets will be condemned.
Expectations
Before each session that I take, I require my clients to provide some basic information such as pet allergies, behaviours on walks and any training goals that they have in mind. This is to ensure your pet’s safety.
If you have any queries, please feel free to drop me a message and I’ll be happy to meet with you.
I promise to go above and beyond for your pets.
Dog Walking Expectations
For dog walking sessions, please provide your own leashes for your dog’s comfort. If you would like me to do some basic training with your dog (e.g. sit, stay), I would be happy to work on these commands with your dog on our walks.
Daily walks can be held in the morning (before 11.00am) or evening (after 5.00pm). Afternoon walks can be arranged. However, it is strongly recommended that dog walks be conducted in the morning or evening as the pavement may heat up in the afternoon. Hot pavements can blister and hurt your pets' paws. Therefore, afternoon walks will be subject to weather conditions.
Dog walks will be between 45 minutes to 1 hour. The duration of the walk depends on the breed, size and age of the dog. If you have a very energetic dog, I can also arrange for running sessions with your dog to give them the exercise that they need. Do note that it is not advisable for very young puppies, elderly dogs and certain breeds such as pugs to run or undergo strenuous activity.
Based on the activity level of the dog and the environment near your area, the dog walk will consist of walks/runs, doggie games (like fetch or chase), toilet breaks and obedience training.
Regular water breaks will be provided for your dog.
Home Boarding Expectations
I live with my family (with two elderly parents and a helper) in a 4 bed room apartment. Due to that size constraint, large/medium size dogs and cats will not be acceptable. This is based on my apartment's policy and for the well-being of your pets. Large pets should be given adequate space to roam.
Small dogs can be considered for home boarding. However, they have to be potty trained and must not display aggressive behaviour. It is highly recommended that a meeting be set up before you decide your pet boarder. It is important that you choose someone that your pet likes and is in line with your goals for your pets. As I do not drive, it is generally preferred that pets are transported to my address. If you would prefer transportation for your pets, I will be happy to pick them up using a third party service like grab (at your cost). Guest dogs will be walked 3 - 4 times a day for 30 - 45 minutes each time. These walks will usually take place in the morning (9.00am), noon (12.00pm), afternoon (4.00pm) and evening (8.00pm). Guest dogs will sleep in the living room.
Pet birds, hamsters or rabbits are generally accepted with the exception of large birds or rabbits (due to space constraints). All small animals must be brought in cages. However, I will ensure that your pets get at least 4 hours of free roaming time each day. Videos and photos will be provided every day. There are no small children living in my apartment so you can be assured that your pets will not be disturbed.
Enclosures will be placed in the living room during the day. This will also be their free roam area. The area has been cleared of wires and has sufficient space for small animals to run. During the night, their enclosures will be moved to the bedroom beside my bed so that I will be able to look out for your pets.
It is highly recommended that you provide your own food, treats and bedding during the home boarding period. New environments can be highly stressful for your pets and keeping as many things as familiar as possible would make the process a lot more enjoyable for your animals.
For rodents and rabbits, daily spot cleaning and a weekly cage cleanse will be carried out unless you would prefer other specific instructions.
I have a helper and I am a university student who lives at home. You can be assured that there will be someone at home at all times with your pet.
Photos of the areas around my house that are great for dog walks can be found in the album. I have no backyard or outdoor space but I do have a park very nearby (3 min walk).

House Visit Expectations
Each house visit will last approximately 45 mins to 1.5 hours. During this time, I will be happy to play with your pets to enrich their minds. If required, I can also shower your dogs and cats. However, an additional fee will be charged for animal showering.
Basic obedience training can be provided for your dogs during home visits. I have experience training a variety of breeds in local shelters as well as my own dogs.
It is highly recommended that you provide treats for this training. Depending on the dog, multiple sessions might be required.
Apart from feeding and playing with your pets, I can help to clean their enclosure (for rabbits, hamsters and birds) or bathe them (for dogs). Additional fees may apply.
