I am currently a final year undergraduate at NUS and I'm an avid animal lover! Animals instantly brighten up my day, I believe they should be treated with utmost care and respect and I want to spread this love for animals everywhere! I currently home 2 happy doggies and 4 happy bunnies, all of which have been adopted.
I took in my first pet back in 2013. She was a 7 year old Schnauzer named Sugar, and had unfortunately come from an abusive home. Sugar had trauma and anxiety and it took me more than a year to build on our relationship to heal her from her bad experiences. We shared a very close relationship as she was still apprehensive of other humans. Sadly, she passed in 2016 due to cancer.
In 2015, I adopted a small Silky named Doughnut who was the complete opposite of Sugar, extremely friendly and loved being around humans. However, she had severe separation anxiety which we successfully worked through as well.
More recently, I adopted my first puppy, Dash, who is a Singapore Special. This was a new experience for me as he was much bigger and more active than my other dogs. He is constantly full of energy and an extremely athletic dog. In the beginning, a few behavioural problem developed as he was getting territorial and could not get along with the other animals in my house. However, with a bit of training and attention, it all went away!
All animals in my household get along fine and are great additions to my family.
Prior to this, I regularly dog sit for my best friend who has an adorable 2 year old Japanese Spitz. I would feed him, take him out for him walks and basically just be his companion for the day. I also help out other friends with their dogs, thus I am familiar with dogs ranging from big Singapore Specials, Goldies, etc to small Poms and Terriers.
As a dog sitter, I am patient and thrive under pressure, hence would be able to calmly resolve issues as they come. As I have had experience with dogs that have had some issues and have undergone professional training with my pets, I have a deepened understanding on how to handle and deal with these different dog personalities. I will also come with a bag of beloved treats and will ensure my 100% devoted attention to your fur baby.
Thus, you can feel at peace knowing that your baby is in safe hands!
