Hello owners of fur-kids,

I am new in PawShake and would like to share with you a little bit of my background. I am in my late 40s and I am currently living in a 3 room private apartment with my husband, just the 2 of us. We used to have 3 furkids, a beagle, Mini Schnauzer and a Shih Tzu. They had crossed the rainbow bridge from 2021-2023 due to old age chronic illness.

Because of passion with animals particularly dogs, I started to provide full time pet boarding services in our home premises from 2008 to 2014, where I adopted 2 of my dogs.

Currently I am having a full time office job from Monday to Friday hence will only be available to provide boarding and Day care service in the weekends. However, I have plans to switch my job from full time to part time eventually and that will allow me to provide day care service for 2 days during the weekdays as well.

For Pet boarding Services,

1. I will board maximum 2 dogs at one time.

2. The dogs will be walk minimum Twice a day, before noon and before bedtime. 15-30mins per walk according to the dog stamina and the weather. If the dog is trained to potty only outdoor, the walks will be given 3-4 times a day, 4-5hours apart depending on the needs of the dog which I will observe from time to time. For dogs who can't really walk throughout, I will use a pram to bring them outdoor and let them walk at a less crowded spot in a park. At least they get to go out for some fresh air. The dogs will be walk either within the compound of the condo or outside to a park, depending on the weather and the conditions of the dog.

3. The dogs will be clean with wet wipes after each walks. The paws need to be cleaned hence we encourage owners to keep the paw pads shave and fur around and top trim for proper cleaning.

4. Shower will be provided on a weekly basis and I will try to do the last one close to the check out day if possible. Appreciate the dog will be bath at least 1day before check in too, and the areas around eyes, muzzle, anal, private parts, paws neatly trim or shave to allow these areas to be clean as and when needed during the boarding stay. The ears will be cleaned after shower followed by blow dry entire body and brushing of fur except for short coat. Brushing of fur for dogs with medium to long coat will be daily.

5. During meal time, the dogs will be kept separately in playpens to avoid eating each other's food. Meals will not be provided to avoid any changes to the diet, owner needs to provide meals with extra 3 days buffer in case of extension. Any oral medication needed before, during or after meals will be administered accordingly to owners instructions. Same for external medications like eye drops, topical analgesic to be applied.

6. You can be assured that the pets will not be left alone for more than 3 hours, during their boarding. My husband will be home too to help look after the pets if there is any urgency for me to leave the house.

7. The dogs are allowed to free roam within our house area except our master bedroom as long as they are indoor or outdoor potty trained that under normal circumstances they should not be messing in the house. So they are accessible to our living hall, balcony, kitchen and 2 common bedrooms. For night time when we could not monitor them constantly, they will be confined in either our solid metal playpen (comes with gate) separately or together (if they are from same household and inseparable) or by different rooms if they seems adapting well in more bigger spaces and able to sleep better. (Some dogs feel safer within a smaller compound, depends on the size of the dog and habits)

For Day Care services,

1. I will look after 2 dogs a day as well.

2. The check in & check out time will be preferably earliest 9am and by 7pm during weekdays. I am open to owners request If there is a need to check in earlier in the weekdays at 8am.

3. For weekends, the check in & check out time will be 11am and 9pm.
