Dear pet parents: Hi! I'd like to help you take care of your pets while you're away and need some peace of mind. I have had experience living with and taking care of a large dog (a golden retriever) for fifteen years, and currently volunteer at a cat shelter where I prepare cat meals (often with supplements and medication), clean litter boxes and cages, administer medical and palliative care (chargeable) (including pill-feeding, subcutaneous injections), bladder and bowel expressing, etc.) and socialise feral or untrained kittens/cats! Therefore, I'm very comfortable with interacting with both cats and dogs of varied temperaments and sizes. I have a great schedule and can probably come to your house after school and between classes, as I don't have class every day. I love animals and am very invested in their well-being.
Usually, I prefer to pet-sit at your house as my house is quite small and not pet-proofed. I find that it's generally a better idea for your pet to stay where they're used to, as they're more familiar with the environment, will be less stressed out, and will know where everything is. I can either stay there, or visit your pet every day, as you prefer! I know opening your house up to a stranger is an act of great trust, so I'd like to reassure you that in addition to taking care of your furbaby, I'm a clean, considerate, and quiet houseguest who will take good care of your home. Some things I'd like to know about your pet:
- Likes and dislikes
- Any pre-existing medical conditions
- Age, temperament, usual routines.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Not a good experience although my cats were taken care of. I didn't have enough trash bags for my furries' poops and Marylyn requested extra money for her time and money to get the plastics a
Marylyn had been such a pleasure to work with. I was so worried leaving my 3 dogs alone but with Marylyn, she was warm and communicated easily with me. During her house visit, she immediately exuded an easiness with our dogs and she was very open to our current routine. Whenever you work with someone new, you tend to have this air of uncertainty and sharing your routine with someone can makes you vulnerable to folks questioning your style of "pawrenting"- Marylyn didn't have any of that at all. While on our trip, she provided both the care that we asked of her, and also "emotional" care with genuine concern for our dogs. She was also so easy to speak to and I cannot recommend her enough. I have already booked her for my next trip and am certain I can be assured my dogs will be in great care.
