*** SORRY, ONLY SPAYED/NEUTERED DOGS, VACCINATED & TICK/FLEA TREATED ***
ABOUT ME (and staying with us):
My name is Frank, I’m Danish…and I absolutely love dogs!
I offer in-home dog boarding for all sizes, ages and breeds, never more than 4 dogs at the same time (including my 5 year old Labrador), depending on dog size and temperament. I have 3+ years of experience with fulltime dog boarding from Shanghai, China (all sizes, ages and breeds), and I am looking forward to continue meeting new and cute furkids here in Singapore.
I study dog behaviour on a professional level and have 5+ years’ experience with positive reinforcement training, so I know dogs and what it takes to make them feel comfortable and well-balanced and how to give them a home outside home.
Your dog will be allowed to roam free in the entire condo, just like our own dog – so he/she will be treated as a family member while here. I work/study from home so the dogs will never be left alone, and I spend a lot of quality time with them as well; we play, we go for walks (3 times daily) and sometimes we do training in the huge field behind our condo – and maybe we bake treats and cakes especially appropriate for dogs.
During the stay, I will send you photo and video updates regularly, so you can see how much fun your furkid has.
If you and your dog have any special requests please let me know, and I will do anything possible to fulfil them.
When I was a kid I grew up in the countryside in Denmark. Surrounded by all kinds of farm animals I started to connect with these amazing creatures, finding out that animals are the most loyal creatures in your life. In my early teen years I read books (before something called internet, haha) about all kinds of animals, and got interested in keeping pets myself. So during my teens I kept mice, rats, gerbils, chipmunks, a lizard, a guinea pig, a couple of turtles, a scorpion, a garter snake, a boa constrictor – and later two cats and now a dog. My family always had dogs, both for hunting and as family dogs, so I have always been around them and felt comfortable with dogs.
So, in 2013 my wife Pia and I got our first dog, Indy. A yellow Labrador Retriever from Denmark, called Labrander Pan…so we named him Indy :-) He moved with us to Shanghai, China in 2014, before we all moved to Singapore February 2018. So a well-travelled dog :-)
Indy changed my life. He made me see the importance of spending your life doing something you truly enjoy and feel great passion about. For me, seeing and feeling the progress your training and your time spend with him does to both him and yourself …that is simply a fantastic experience – but of course you as a dog owner already know that. So after 20+ years in professional media production I quit my job and promised myself and Indy to dedicate my time to dogs from now on. This was in 2015. And I haven’t looked back since.
I believe in clicker training / positive reinforcement training for dogs, and this is the concept Indy was trained by since he was a puppy. He is well socialised and gets along with most dogs and all people. If you don’t have experience with positive reinforcement training, I can tell you it is very effective, and your dog will love you (and me) for it!
I am not a certified positive reinforcement trainer yet, but my second year studying dog behaviour with well-renowned Danish Dog Behaviour Specialist Camilla Fjeldsø, will be my first step towards the trainer education and my certification within a few years.
As expats in China we soon discovered the huge lack of for proper and safe dog boarding and quality dog products. All boarding facilities are in a terrible condition, and most personnel has no or very little specific education an minimum knowledge about handling dogs, and lots of dog food, treats and toys unfortunately comes in very poor quality. So we started cage-free home boarding based on western knowledge about dogs and worked hard on making a dog stay with us, as close to being home. We also spent a huge amount of time finding producers and sellers of quality dog toys, treats and accessories for our monthly subscription based box of high-quality products and soon we had a loyal and growing clientele from all over Shanghai.
When no boarding dogs are in, I share my time and knowledge as a volunteer at SOSD dog shelter in Sungei Tengah Road.
A lifelong passion for all kinds of animals and now in particular for dogs has made the choice very clear for me: I want to work with dogs and be surrounded by furkids as much as I possibly can! My wife and I know from ourselves how difficult it is to say goodbye and leave your dog in the hands of strangers when you have to travel. Therefore it is so important for us to make sure that YOU can travel with a good conscience, and leave your dog with us…We will do what it takes to make your furkid feel like home and feel being part of our family when you are gone…simply because we care.

Frank is a very loving host who treated Otto as he was his own. He send me regular updates with lovely images and videos that were so well made, i could frame them. I am very happy i have found Frank and will definitely bring Otto back in the future.
Fantastic boarding home. Frank is wonderful with the dogs. Frequent updates throughout our labradoodle’s stay. She came home happy and healthy. We wouldn’t hesitate to board her with Frank again in the future.
