Hi there! My name is Meryl, and I'm the dog-sitter you'll want for your precious pup. I'm a 36-year-old newly minted mother of 1, and I work from home as a creative consultant. 

I'm on this platform because I genuinely love dogs, but more importantly, it's my way of paying tribute to the memory of my first heart dog - a Singapore Special pup named Pecan, who passed on in Nov 2024 at the grand age of 11 years old. I miss him everyday, and he is my inspiration for being a dog-boarder/sitter as I hope to share the love and care I gave him with other dogs. 

About the experience

My home and availability: I stay in a landed house in Upper Thomson area, with a nice front yard and a backyard that is fully fenced and secure. Your furkid will have free range of movement to explore our home as he/she wishes! Sleep arrangement will be in our living room or spare bedroom downstairs :) We have a Big Borky bed that we will set up for your pet! 

I live with my husband, two helpers, and my 11-month old baby son. We all love dogs and frequently help to dog sit our siblings' and friends' pets, so we are experienced having dogs over to stay in our home. I'm a work-from-home mum, and when I'm dog sitting, I'll be present at home with your dog most of the time. The only exception is if I need to run errands, but my helper will be home to keep an eye on your pet should I need to pop out. 

Communication: I'm a highly communicative individual, so you can expect frequent check ins and updates on your pet when they are with me! At least 3x updates for doggy daycare, and 5x updates/daily for dogboarding. 

Walks: Thanks to Pecan, and the extensive training we did with him, I am well-trained to walk dogs nicely on-leash. I use a long-leash walk method where I let the dog sniff and have ample freedom to walk, while still being in control. I am always mindful of safe interactions with other dogs, and will keep your pet safe when encountering other dogs on walks as well.

I take dogs on walks twice-thrice daily, depending on your pet's energy levels. Each walk is a minumum of 15 minutes, and I am more than happy to take them on 45-minute long walks too. I believe a walk is a dog's most precious time, and will always give the dog time and space to sniff around and enjoy his daily gambol :) 

Areas in my neighbourhood for walks include: a neighbourhood playground park, Venus Loop trail - a really nice uphill grassy slope with lots of space for the dog. 

Meals: I understand a dog's diet varies from pet to pet. You can pack their meals for them and I am happy to feed them according to your routine.

Alternatively, if you'll like me to provide meals, you can opt to top up $10-$15/night for our in-house menu, served twice daily:

- Homemade pure bone broth (chicken, pork, beef flavours available). Made purely from the meat bones, celery, carrots. I sometimes add organic tumeric powder too!

- Baked meatballs: we have lamb, pork, and beef always on rotation.

- Choice of vegetable (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, pumpkin)

- Egg (if not allergic)

- Vet approved kibbles

Luxury touches

• Premium Big Borky bed, with fresh bedding for a luxurious night sleep 
• Big frontyard and backyard for dogs to run around freely - perfect for fetch or a spot of obedience training
• Gourmet treats: Bone broth, homemade meatballs, jumbo blueberries, Greek yogurt pupsicles (*subject to your dog's diet) 
• Puzzle toys and snuffle mats to keep your pet engaged and entertained
• Excursions to the park or beach in air-conditioned car, if you're with me for boarding.
• Provision of essentials: I provide fragrance-free wet wipes, odour-free strong poop bags, pee pad tray (size Medium), pee pads. So you dont have to pack your own unless you want to :) I also have spare leashes, dog shampoo on hand if needed.

Dog breeds and sizes that I welcome: Pecan was a 25kg mongrel pup, so I am open to sitting dogs of all sizes. Large breeds to miniature breeds are all welcome! I board a maximum of just 3 dogs at one time. 

Playtime: I offer plenty of playtime with your pet, depending on their needs and energy level. Think endless games of fetch, throwing a ball for them, tug-o-war, sniff and search for treats, and lots of cuddles/belly rubs/scritches!

Extra services: I can administer medication (oral by syringe or topical application of creams), and I also can bathe your dog upon request ($10/bath, includes shampoo, towel dry and blow), or FOC one bath if your dog is boarding with me for more than 7days.

I am also a believer of positive reinforcement, when it comes to dog training, so I will include obedience training during our walks or play time together.

Check-in and checkout times: You can drop your pet off as early as 8.30am, and pick up by 8pm. Additional $15 for early check in (before 8.30am) and late check out (after 9pm).

A little good to know caveat: I have a little 11-month old baby boy now, so my only ask is for your doggy to be ok with kids. Regardless, I'll always be safe and make sure neither pup nor bub are left unattended.
