Hi Pawrents!

I'm Katherine and I have been a proud cat parent since 2011 to my 3 rescued cats. I am an avid pet-lover with a soft spot for cats. I help out around my community with rescues and have helped to re-home some abandoned cats around my estate on a private basis. 

Being a pet parent myself, I have also struggled with finding suitable cat -sitters so I can go on my travels with peace of mind. I have also experienced the constant worry of my cats getting lost, and also having my cats having separation anxiety ( they are very attached to me) and thus exhibiting undesirable behaviour like pooping and peeing in inappropriate places. Thus I know only too well the stress that pets and pawrents face during the travel period. I firmly believe that having your cats stay at home in their own familiar environnment helps to mitigate some of the stress and leads to less behavioural and health problems.

So far I have only been cat-sitting for friends and family, but decided to extend my services to a wider audience since I have the time to do so!  

 As I am doing freelancing work from home, my hours are flexible and I am able to cat-sit on weekdays and weekends mornings and evenings. I also have my own transport so in case of emergencies I am able to send your pets to the vet if the need arises. 

IMy cats have been on a raw diet for 10years now, so i am very familiar with the raw feeding process and will be able to handle raw-fed pets.

I am a plant lover as well and have a garden of my own where i grow edibles, flowering plants as well as ornamental plants. So i will be able to take good care of your house plants both indoor and outdoor when you are away!

I try to travel out of the busy holiday periods so I am usually available during the holiday seasons. 

I interact with cats by first observing their body language and then seeing their comfort level with proximity. Some cats especially rescued and feral ones tend to be more wary about human touch and i will adjust according to each cats comfort level towards proximity. 

For the duration of the pet sitting i will :

1. feed your pets, and change the litter and water

2. water plants

3. clean up and wash up after feeding

4. take out the trash

5. play and engage with your pets if they are inclined. 

6. send photos of your pets daily
