About Jen
If dogs are a man's best friend, I'm a dog's best friend.
I have over 10 years of experience handling pet dogs as well as shelter dogs as a volunteer.
I love dogs of all colours, shapes and sizes. And I love talking to them as if they understand me (some do, I swear).
I love my clients' dogs like they are my own and like my own family. This stems from both my passion and professionalism. You can rest assured that your pet is well cared for while your privacy and property are well-protected. I value my own integrity no less than you expect others to respect yours.
On that note, I value a respectful and professional transaction with pet owners. Anything less is a pet peeve.
In other news, I support an animal shelter in India to rescue and rehome street dogs. They lead really hard lives!
I once piloted an initiative where I took my client's dog to interact with senior residents of an assisted-living facility over a few weeks. The exuberant and obedient Cocker Spaniel was a hit with the seniors, transforming them from sceptics to fans during the interactions! Being non-judgmental, dogs have that magic touch that humans don't in bringing people out of their shells. How wonderful!
Post-pandemic, it'd be an absolute joy to help pet owners care for their beloved pets during travel and busy times.

I've been fortunate enough to learn and practise basic rewards-based, force-free techniques in working with dogs. Specifically, I mean using praise, treats, attention and toys as tools to enhance my relationships with dogs. So, no force, reprimands or any physical means are involved. *shudder!*
