Hello! I’m Rizmiya, or you can call me Riz. I went from being scared of cats as a child to becoming a devoted cat mom and animal welfare advocate. With over 17 years of hands-on experience, I’ve dedicated my life to rescuing, fostering, TNR (trap-neuter-return), and supporting animal welfare organisations. 

Now as an experienced pet sitter, I take pride in ensuring that pets under my care feel safe, happy, and loved. Having three senior cats of my own and years of experience as an ex-rescuer, I understand the unique challenges and joys that come with being a pet parent. This experience has equipped me to handle a variety of pet personalities, including those of aggressive or anxious cats.

I first began pet sitting to help cover vet bills for the many rescue cases I was supporting. What started as a way to fund my animal welfare efforts quickly became a passion in itself. I know how crucial it is for pet owners to feel peace of mind when they’re away, especially if their pets need extra attention or medication and I’m honoured to be that trusted person for so many families. 

During my visits, I provide:

 • Playtime and engagement to keep your cats entertained.

 • Feeding and grooming to keep them healthy and happy.

 • Cleaning of bowls and litter boxes.

 • Updates with photos and videos, so you know your pet is content.

 • Plenty of cuddles and affection!

In addition to pet sitting, I’m available to:

 • Administer medications or supplements as needed.

 • Water your plants.

 • Tidy up (vacuuming and cleaning any pet-related mess).

 • Assist with special requests – just let me know!

I’ve also cared for terrapins, rabbits, fish and senior dogs, and I’m happy to help with your unique pet care needs. Part of my pet sitting fee goes towards supporting other rescuers, reflecting my ongoing commitment to animal welfare.
