Hi! I am Valerie, and I would love to become a dog walker/ sitter because I am a huge fan of dogs! Even though I’ve never been allowed to get a dog of my own, I have taken every opportunity presented to me to interact with these furry companions!
I have been volunteering at Mutts and Mittens since 2015, and I have various responsibilities as a senior volunteer. They include walking and showering dogs every week, rehabilitating certain dogs with behavioral issues, training new volunteers and educating the general public on adoption and responsible pet ownership. Hence, I have experience handling different types of dogs - aggressive, energetic and fearful.
Services I offer include
dog walking and house visits. As a fairly energetic person, I am also able to run and play with your dog! Showering your dog is also something I am willing and able to do. Having walked dogs regularly for the past few years, I am confident in walking multiple dogs at once, so if you have multiple pooches, rest assured that I’ll be able to handle them just fine!
Dogs bring a large amount of joy into my life, and I would love to be able to provide them with the enjoyable walks they deserve. Seeing them smile is something that makes me very, very happy :)
