Kate & Tim

Hi there, we are Kate and Tim :) A little bit about us - we are full-time dog sitters and we run our petite daycare and boarding service from our cozy residence. Both of us still hold our freelance stints - Kate as a musician and Tim as a sports coach. 

We take in dogs for boarding, daycare as well as board-and-train programmes! Both of us are Canine First Responders (Dog First Aid and CPR trained) and Kate is currently pursuing canine behaviourist studies :) 

The two of us live with our playful pup Aris near the nature reserve, where we are surrounded by lots of greenery. The 3 of us lead very active lifestyles - we run with Aris daily and enjoy bringing the rest of the dogs for similar runs or long walks. On top of that, we often let the dogs free roam within selected secluded outdoor spaces - the dogs get a ton of exercise and playtime from that and they love it! :)  

As strong believers in the importance of obedience training, we have helped many dogs develop these skills during their stay with us (grass training, loose leash walking, reactivity, basic commands, etc.) Both of us have also assisted owners in maintenance training, to reinforce what the dogs already know. 

Our house is spacious, with a large indoor space for the pups to romp around and play. Multiple baby gates are set up around the house to separate the dogs into different spaces when necessary (for downtime, meal times, etc). 

At night, the dogs either sleep in the living room or our bedroom (if they are able to settle down). We have two play pens set up in our study rooms - they can be used for dogs that are used to being in a play pen. Owners are strongly recommended to bring their own crates, should their dog be crate-trained.  

ASSESSMENT

We require all new dogs to attend an overnight assessment ($78) for boarding before confirming their stay. For daycare, a day assessment ($68) that runs from 8am-6pm, will suffice.

During the assessment, we will assess interactions with other dogs, observe for separation anxiety, resource guarding, and lastly, indoor and outdoor reactivity. 

To be fully transparent on our assessment criteria, we only take in dogs that do not display signs of separation anxiety (incessant whining or barking), though mild cases can be accepted. Dogs at ours have to be comfortable being without humans for short periods in the day (up to 4 hours). In the day, the humans leave the house to walk the dogs, run quick errands and carry out transport services. 

Our current pack of regulars are well-tempered and get along harmoniously - we are blessed and would very much like to keep the status quo :) Hence to be fair to the rest of the dogs, we can only take in dogs that are able to respect other dogs' space and can coexist in the same space as them. 24/7 separation can be stressful for the isolated dog, and is not the best boarding experience for him/her. 

Pups that are not grass trained, are expected to be pen-trained (familiar with being in the play pen for extended periods). We will leave the pee pads inside of the pen, instead of around the house, to avoid creating confusion for the other dogs and prevent indoor marking behaviours. We seek your kind understanding regarding this!

Lastly, a gentle note that dogs that are prone to excitement pee or mark indoors, will have to put on diapers. We are happy to provide them at a small additional fee.

SURCHARGES:
Do note that the following surcharges apply if you have a pet that falls in the categories below.

1) DOGS > 15 KG - $15/night surcharge on boarding and daycare rate

2)PUPPIES (10 MONTHS OR YOUNGER) - $20/night surcharge on boarding and daycare rates

3) SENIOR DOGS (10 YEARS OR OLDER) - $15/night surcharge on boarding and daycare rates 

We take pride in offering quality care and activities for your dog, and go the extra mile for dogs that require more time/effort, hence the premiums on the above categories! 

PRIVATE TRANSPORT SERVICES:
For locations within 14km of Beauty World MRT, transport charges are $25 one way.

For locations further than 14km of Beauty World MRT, transport charges are $35 one way.
