I often have close encounters with wildlife in my overseas self driven trips thus my rare unique background enables me to bond easily with the WILDEST pets. I am a Godma to several local and international pets. It is my professional
full-time and final permanent job, with my husband (Physical Education and Science teacher) as my right hand man should there be any emergencies on my side. It's a husband and wife team.
*Every Christmas and CNY, many pet owners are distressed due to their ad hoc part time pet sitters who quit or stood up. Rethink carefully who you hire in future. Go for long term committed ones (very few unfortunately). My regular customers stick to me forever because I deliberately stay during festive/peak periods just for them.*
*Dog owners have addressed concerns about their previous temp part time dog walkers sitting at sheltered areas and not walking their dogs (I have also seen it), and residents' concerns about expensive pet hotels' untrained dog walkers feeding monkeys and allowing dogs to pee at residents' plants. Please do your part in screening dog walkers. Profiles cannot be taken at face value.*
Priority goes to repeat/regular customers during festive/peak periods. I am frustrated handling non genuine customers who change their minds at the last minute or use multiple pet sitters. If I am your temporary replacement for your inconsistent/inexperienced pet sitter, then I am NOT the one for you. I go above and beyond by studying pets, building strong, long term relationships with them (and their owners), thus I have the same customers for up to 15 years or until their pets' last days. Bonding is crucial for me to reinforce discipline (on dogs) and train certain skills (on cats' hunting instinct) since they recognize my voice, tone and no-nonsense style. Our bond is so deep that we
still maintain contact after pet owners have relocated permanently.
pet owners know that it's
confusing and unhealthy for pets to have multiple pet sitters. If
you are seeking a consistent and long term pet sitter, contact me for
my kind of experience:
No surcharge during festive/peak periods or odd hours. This is a sacrifice and passion on my part but visits/walks may be slightly shorter due to reunion dinners or festive visits. Most pet sitters add surcharges even for short visits under 30 minutes or don't work during these periods at all.
Dog boarding (End Feb: 1 slot left; Easter: 2 slots left; Vesak Day weekend in May: 1 slot left; August National day weekend: 2 slots left. June to August bookings creeping in):
House sitting (available only during non festive/peak periods):
Dog walking (45mins):
I do brisk walking or jogging and in under 40 mins (sometimes within 20 mins), the dogs surrender and stop, including Huskies, Retrievers, Labs, Samoyeds, Mongrels, Pointers, Wheatens, Shepherds! I stretch their stamina and energy levels. DO NOT OVERESTIMATE your dogs just because your maids took up to 2 hours to tire them out, because the truth is most maids don't walk them.
I have quality leashes, tie-out cables, stakes, tough toys of my own. I organize monthly dog outings together with other assistants or dog trainer. I often have been hired immediately off the streets after dog owners observed my style and recognized me as a genuine dog walker.
Pet visits (45mins on regular days, up to 1.5 hours on freer days): my face is an access pass to at least 30 condos due to my unique van and my excellent PR with security guards whom I have bonded with and some hilariously communicate with me in pet language! I only cover central areas. I drive thus I have brought pets to the vet, reached homes not easily accessible, handled homes' water leakage and ant/roach problem. We have cared for pets' heartbreaking last moments while owners are away. We still keep in touch and have visited pet owners who relocated overseas, we share pet food recipes and wildlife travels. I also make my own cat toys.
Regular customers get negotiated rates. I ferried regular dog customers in my Honda Civic for 10 years. I now have a new van! Dog owners feedback that the van is definitely better than the car. I love driving (and motorcycling), and have clocked at least 30,000km (19,000 miles) on the roads of the above countries that I have self driven.
If you have any unwanted pet food that are not yet expired and wish to donate them to pet shelters, please contact me as it's part of my volunteer work.
As a dog sitter/walker, I reinforce obedience/discipline. I will NOT walk your dog if you often have other dog walkers who do it as a hobby/temp job or friends/neighbors/relatives offered it free because dogs easily pick up bad habits from them. Many untrained dog walkers undermine discipline. It is frustrating to undo these and to repeatedly retrain the dogs. I have tackled mongrels, stubborn and skittish dogs who struggled with or refused other dog walkers. My physique, tanned skin and scars are proofs of experience. I have even been hired on the spot after dog owners observed my dog walking style and recognized me as a genuine dog walker.
As a cat sitter, I have easily tackled shy/skittish cats. Such cats have been reported to turn aggressive and attack due to multiple changing of cat sitters who also couldn't handle them. Cats will not be bribed. They look for certain characteristics in cat sitters. I studied big cats and their hunting skills/instincts from lion rehabilitation camps, and have (unexpectedly) turned some outdoor cats, Bengal, Turkish Van, Maine Coon, Persians, Ragdolls, Siberian etc into panting ninjas!
Below are my full time assistants. I only recruit physically active and tough ones who are willing to sweat it out:

Gift of instruction - especially in the areas of animals and performing arts. High level of patience and creativity. Highly sought after but prefer to keep a low profile. Don't like being in the limelight. Don't wish to be over popular because I just want to care for a dedicated group of regular customers' pets.
Gift of leadership - often chosen to lead in performing arts area because I am firm and assertive, probably contributed to easy and successful walking of stubborn and selective dogs. I am a pack leader!
Resourceful - I travel a lot and blessed to have very good connections, thus I know where to get quality stuff at good deals. I have driven in to Malaysia several times, about every 2 to 3 months. Many relatives there too.
Excellent driving skills, even in heavy downpour with zero visibility or on streets with zero lights and reflectors (yes, Africa) - I have been told that I drive more than an average American in the USA itself due to the many national parks I have visited. Driven all kinds of cars, MPVs, SUVs, vans. Rode a motorbike for 10 years but stopped after getting married. Wanted to try class 4, but no time.
Sharp sense of sight (very observant, detect movements quickly), hearing (can hear distant noises like water drips/running, slight movement noise, high pitches - did much sound mixing for music bands in the past), smell (can detect a roach, rat or certain animal in an enclosed area; nauseat upon bad smell).
Personality - rugged, gutsy, free spirited, fussy, selective, meticulous, dedicated, consistent, cautious
