About Abhishek
I come from Pune, India. Back home, I have a 10 year old German Shepherd who's an angel. I'm in Singapore as a Master's Student at NUS. I'll skip the cliches of proclaiming to be an animal-lover since that's obvious. I got my dog when I was 13 years old. And my journey of familiarising myself with petcare as much as possible began the day my father got my baby doggo home.
Apart from all the experience that comes with being a pet parent, I have experience taking care of dogs and cats in my neighbourhood and anybody that has seen me interact with animals would tell you what I'm about to tell you. If I had to choose between my life and an animal's, I'd choose the animal's. I'm generally quite comfortable interacting with animals of most types, regardless their temperaments. I've play-wrestled with rottweilers, at the end of which I found myself covered in slobber. But that's only because he decided to lick my entire face. As far as subsidiary skills pertaining to pet care are concerned, I'm very experienced in walking, bathing and combing dogs. My own pup is a long coated GSD. So you can imagine the amount of care he requires.
Specifically, following are the services I offer -
1. Being a Masters student at NUS, I am typically available in the evening on all days. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, I am usually available throughout the day. On some days I may have commitments to events in University. But if that is the case, I will inform you well in advance.
2. I can walk dogs and make sure your pup gets his regular dose of physical exercise. I usually walk my own dog for about an hour. Depending on where you live, I can walk your dog either inside your condo compound, or on trails or footpaths outside your condo. But, of course I understand that every pup has different needs, and I am willing to spend more time walking your pup if you want me to. I also offer my grooming services. Whether you want your dog bathed, it's teeth brushed, ears cleaned, or simply brushed and combed, I can be your guy. However, you will have to provide me with the necessary supplies and tools. I'm absolutely comfortable administering oral medication to your dogs. In fact, I'd say I'm pretty good at it given that my dog throws a fuss when it comes to taking medication.
3. I do offer home visits and house sitting services, provided they do not clash with my University schedule. Therefore, on days that I'm free, I can stay for up to 6 hours with pets on such days. While I am at your house, I can also water your plants, should you need me to. As far as ensuring that your furbaby stays safe, I usually depend on my instinct and alertness to pay attention to him/her. But, I'm more than happy to implement any specific security measures that you would like me to!
It's worth mentioning that apart from wanting to be close to dogs, I want to become a pet sitter since I really need a hustle that covers my utilities and expenses.
If you have any questions about me as a potential person you'd want to hire for your pet, please feel free to get in touch with me!
