Ever since I was 5, I had always loved dogs. I read many books and watched many videos on how to take care of them. I yearned for my own dog every year. However, my grandpa who lived with me was allergic, hence I could not own one. Today my grandpa is not living with us anymore but my family's finances are still not convenient to own a dog even though we are all dog lovers. My love for dogs has not died since I was a kid and I always visit my friends' houses as an excuse to play and walk their dog; simultaneously observing how to take care and clean up after them. So I decided that since I am confident enough to care for dogs as if I own them, I will take a step further to apply for dog walking/sitting jobs on Pawshake as if they are my own. :)

I follow consistent daily routines because dogs thrive on predictability — scheduled walks, feeding times, rest periods, and enrichment activities that are thoughtfully planned to suit each dog’s age, energy level, and temperament. Safety is always my top priority: my home is clean, pet-proofed, well-ventilated, and free from hazards, with secure spaces for rest and supervised play. I carefully monitor body language and behaviour, whether I’m caring for an energetic puppy who needs stimulation and boundaries, a shy or anxious dog who requires patience and reassurance, or a senior dog who benefits from gentle handling and extra comfort. Before any boarding or daycare stay, I take time to understand your dog’s routine, dietary needs, medical requirements, and personality quirks so I can provide personalised care that feels familiar to them. From slow introductions to structured socialisation and plenty of affection, I ensure every dog in my care is not just looked after — but genuinely nurtured, respected, and treated like family.

I also have had two bunnies growing up that lived for twelve years and died of old age naturally.
