Trusted care for all pets, experienced with medications and special needs

Hi, I'm Wivi! Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and friends & family have trusted me to care for their fur/feathered family for over 20 years. I’ve been feeling a strong pull to do something related to helping animals for awhile, so finally taking the opportunity to lean into my passions!

My past experience is varied and I’ve cared for -

• Cat and dogs with chronic conditions requiring daily medications (oral, topical, injectable. I’ve done IV drips, asthmas inhalers, expressed pee and poo in a disabled dog a couple of times, not enough to say I am adept but definitely exposed. Open to learn if you’re open to walking this journey together)

• Pets with mobility issues, kidney disease, pancreatitis, heart conditions, blindness, hearing loss, dementia.

• Orphaned newborn kittens requiring bottle feeding and around the clock care

• Shy or anxious cats and dogs who need lots of patience and predictable routines (I can be calm, give them lots of space and be a soothing figure, no dramatic entry and exits)

• Pets recovering from injuries or surgery who need rehab exercises (Demonstrate it to me and I can ensure they keep to schedule and continue their progress) 

There will be additional fees required for special cases so please enquire! I’m also familiar with basic grooming for cats and dogs which can be added on. Have also cared for hamsters, rabbits, birds, reptiles and other small animals.

I offer house visits/house sitting only, for a few reasons. Firstly, I have 2 cats that just won’t tolerate other animals ;) Secondly, I genuinely believe many pets (especially nervous ones) feel safest staying in their own familiar environment while you're away.

What you can expect -

• Tailored schedules for special needs/requests

• Fresh food and water. Familiar with raw prep as well.

• Litter box or pee tray clearing

• Playtime, enrichment and companionship

• Brushing or light grooming, if they enjoy it

• Daily photo and video updates

Most importantly, I want you to leave home with peace of mind.

I understand how difficult it can be to hand your keys and pets to a stranger, so I’d love to chat beforehand and answer any questions you may have. Tell me what helps you feel reassured. Photos of their food bowls? Videos? Updates after meals? I'm happy to tailor my communication to what you need. I'll also ask for your vet's details in case of emergencies. Home CCTVs are welcomed, just let me know where they are located.

A little bit about me -

I share my life with two very special cats. Moxie, my fluffy white princess, came to me with chronic gut issues and skin allergies. After plenty of research, advice, patience and determination, I weaned her off steroids and she's now healthy, thriving and happily enjoying a menu she once couldn't tolerate. Then there's Magic, a tiny black kitten rescued from a condominium carpark during a December downpour. She arrived frightened, injured and no bigger than my hand. Today she's gloriously chunky, endlessly curious, delightfully opinionated and just the right amount of chaos.

Our pets may not be our whole world, but we are theirs. It is my mission to help you ensure they feel safe, comfortable and loved, even when you're away. :)
