Hi, I'm Shuyi, welcome!

I grew up surrounding by pets, so looking after dogs has never felt like a chore to me, it feels like home. My husband are I are the classic DINKs: no kids, one dog, and gymming is always part of our routine (muscle degradation past 30 is real). Outside of that, you'll usually find us right here at home (gaming, netflixing, you can get almost everything done with just your phone). We've made it a personal goal to meet and care for as many dog breeds as we can when we got our place, so however unique your pup is, we're excited to learn them!

Meet Taco, our boss. He's calm, unbothered, and minds his own business, but he gets along with just about anyone: cats, chickens, dogs twice his size and triple his energy. He's seen it all and stayed chill through it. Visiting dogs tend to pick up on that chill energy and end up napping right beside him. I'm not kidding when I say he is unbothered and minds his own business, we chose Taco in the first place because he was the only puppy not barking his lungs out. And it took him 2 years to realise he can actually bark.

We live in a cosy HDB flat that we've deliberately kept as open and empty as possible (partly because Taco used to chew up my mom's furnitures and I'm not gonna risk my furnitures since I paid using my own money, but mainly because we understand that dogs need room to roam). It's quiet here, no chaos, no distractions or boxes for them to dig into just to realise they can't eat the content, just a calm space that's especially reassuring for a dog visiting somewhere new for the first time. 

We don't cage dogs. We believe they should get to pick their own napping spot, not have one assigned to them. If your dog is already crate trained and prefers it though, we're more than happy to keep that routine going. 

Settling in: Every dog gets to explore the house at their own pace, full sniff tour included before we introudce Taco. Shy or anxious? We'll go as slow as they need. High energy? We can match it and still keep things calm. However your dog shows up, we meet them where they are!

A day in the life with Taco:

• 2 walks a day (morning and evening), minimum 20 minutes each (to clock our basic daily steps too!)
• 2 meals a day, right after each walk
• Free roaming around the house, no restrictions
• Plenty of cuddles, play, and the occasional treat fest
• If Taco's had enough of us for the day, your dog might just score extra cuddles with him!

I also love baking dog-friendly treats, and if you're up for it, your dog is welcome to join Taco on the official taste test panel.

• Staying in the loop: We'll send you updates throughout the day: 2-3 hours check-ins or milestone updates for feeding, walks, and playtime, whatever gives you the most peace of mind. 

• Boarding (24 hours): Your dog stays overnight with us, in our air-conditioned room. Every dog gets the same treatment as Taco: walks, paw cleaning after outings, meals, playtime! Let us know if your dog is not allowed on the bed, because we enjoy cuddling with dogs on the bed! Time beyond 24 hours is billed at $10/hour. 

• Daycare (8 hours): Same here, same routine Taco gets. Perfect for workdays or errand heavy days when you don't want to leave your dog alone. Additional charges will be billed accordingly too beyond 8 hours.

• Walking (30 minutes): Just let us know your dog's preferred grass patch!

A few things to know:

1. We're based in an 4-room HDB flat, so we're best suited to small-to-medium breeds
2. We don't take aggressive dogs (sorry not trained physically, emotionally and mentally)
3. All dogs must be vaccinated before visiting and on regular deworming treatment
4. We can currently host maximum 3 additional dogs at a time, subject to the dogs temperament and vibe
5. The more you tell us upfront, the better we can care for your dog
6. We're currently boarding a toy cavapoo puppy long term (until January 2027) who is very lovable, socialable and down for a playtime anytime!
