Hi! My name is Wanxin, a friendly neighbourhood petsitter who has previously taken care of my own dog, who passed away peacefully at 13 years old 🐶

I also have around three years of hands-on experience caring for other animals, including dogs (labradors, maltese, shitzu, huntaway) , cats (british shorthair, ragdoll) chickens, goats, and cows (this was when I was in New Zealand)— and I’m always excited to learn how to care for other pets too. I also have experience in maintaining the house such as mowing lawns, watering plants, collecting letters from mailbox and putting them in a safe place. Every pet has their own needs - for instance, for big dogs, I have been told to keep them tight on their leashes in case anything happens. For smaller dogs, it is more about protecting them during walks as they tend to get feisty as well. For cats, especially for those that are staying with other cats, it could be about ensuring each cat gets to eat from their own bowl (e.g. preventing one cat from stealing food from the other cat's bowl). 

I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply having calm company around, I’ll adapt to their personality and needs.

What I offer:

My walks are usually around 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your dog’s energy level, age, and routine. During visits, I’ll also make sure your pets have fresh water, a clean environment, and some quality interaction time instead of just a quick check-in.

For house sitting, I only take bookings when I’m working remotely or on my off days, so your pets can have proper supervision and company throughout the day, as I understand the importance of ensuring your pet(s) are not alone and have someone to turn to. 

In terms of availability, I currently work remotely twice a week and am generally more available in the mornings and early evenings, though I’m happy to discuss the exact schedules and arrangements.

I also appreciate knowing your pet’s health condition (e.g. asthma or hip issues), dietary needs (e.g. mix 50% dry and 50% wet food) , routines (e.g. where they like to be walked, what time they would usually be fed) , triggers (e.g. seeing other dogs), and emergency contacts (e.g. trusted friend/relative/preferred vet to go to) beforehand so I can provide the best and safest care possible.

In case of emergencies, I stay calm and take immediate action:
1. Assess the situation and ensure your pet is safe.
2. Contact you right away with updates.
3. Reach out to your preferred vet (or a nearby clinic if urgent)
4. Follow through with necessary care based on professional advice

Note: I don’t offer pet boarding in my own home at the moment.
