Hello, I’m Sonia, a caring and reliable pet sitter based in Singapore’s West, covering Jurong West, Jurong East and nearby areas. I come to you, so your pets can stay happy and settled in the place they know best, their own home.

Animals have been a big part of my life for over 20 years. I have had two dogs and a rescue cat who unexpectedly came into my life and became a very special part of our family. Although they have all crossed over the 🌈, I had the privilege of caring for them through different stages of their lives, including their senior years.

Having cared for pets for many years, I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and little quirks. I am especially gentle and patient with older pets. I understand that senior cats and dogs may need slower or shorter walks, more patience and extra attention on days when they are less comfortable or simply not feeling their best. I am happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and let them be comfortable at their own pace.

I am confident caring for both cats and dogs, and I am naturally observant of animal behaviour. During each visit, I pay attention to things such as appetite, energy levels, toileting, mood and any unusual changes in behaviour. If something does not seem quite right, I will let you know promptly. To me, good pet sitting is not just about feeding your pet and cleaning up after them. It is about noticing the small things and making sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for.

I am happy to follow your dog’s usual walking route around your neighbourhood, whether that is a familiar path around the estate, nearby green spaces, a park connector or a short walk to their favourite spot.

For each visit, I generally allow around at least 1 hour so there is enough time to take your dog out for a comfortable walk, let them sniff and explore at their own pace, and have some quality time together. I will follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible and adjust the pace and distance according to their age, energy level and comfort. I am based in the West and can cover neighbourhoods around Jurong West, Jurong East and nearby areas. I am happy to keep to local routes close to your home rather than taking your dog somewhere unfamiliar, unless you have a preferred route or walking spot.

For senior dogs or dogs who prefer a slower pace, I am also happy to keep the walk shorter and more relaxed. My priority is for your dog to have a safe, enjoyable walk that suits them and meet their needs, rather than simply trying to cover a certain distance.

I can also help with basic grooming such as brushing and ear cleaning. With your permission, I am happy to trim nails when a cat or dog is calm and comfortable with it. I can also administer oral medication by syringe once we have discussed your pet’s medication, dosage and routine clearly beforehand.

Besides cats and dogs, I am happy to care for other pets such as fish and terrapins. I have two terrapins of my own, Wu Wu and Gui Gui, who have been with me since 2017. They have grown into two very large terrapins over the years, and caring for them has taught me that smaller or less conventional pets need just as much consistency, attention and care.

I offer drop in home visits, which are especially suitable for cats and pets who are happier staying in familiar surroundings. During each visit, I will make sure they have fresh food and water, clean up after them, spend quality time with them and follow any specific instructions you have given me. I will also send photo and video updates so you can see how your pet is doing while you are away.

Most importantly, I treat every pet as an individual and with the same patience, gentleness and care I would want someone to show my own. I know how it feels to leave your pets at home when you travel, so my goal is to give you peace of mind knowing that someone reliable, kind, attentive and responsible is looking after them.
