II have been brought up to embrace the philosophy if we do not have oir furry, feather or scaly friends to share it with,

indeed , I feel strongly that our living counterparts make our lives richer and more meaningful.

I have as pets - chickens, ducks, fish, tortoise ,hamsters, cats and dogs (of all breeds)

as of a child.

Currently I have two dogs and 3 cats.

I have also been running a dog boarding service for the past 5 years. I live in a lush and pet-friendly detached house.

In line with my sentiments, the animals under my charge are allowed to roam freely,

albeit within safe perimeters of supervision and control.

On top of which,

there is a sprawling community park just behind my home. Where more demanding and vigorous exercise routines can be initiated.

I believe strongly that is through play and interaction as well as scrutiny and dilligence that we can know our 4 legged children's personality. In many cases when an animal behaves untowardly,

it is most likely the owners who have failed to master the art of observance and reflection.

I strongly recommend a holistic approach and advocate healthy snacking , many of which like dehydrated treats and fresh fruits. Home cooked dinner is included for my special boarding guests.

Regular excercise and substantial walks are indispensable,

especially so for high energy dogs. I also shower

and provide basic grooming for stays that lasts for 5 days or more. I would appreciate that all dogs, prior to check-in, are showered and tick-free.

I frown upon the use of chemical agents such as Frontline.

In many cases,

organic options such as apple cider vinegar and YL essential oils do a much better job.

Such homeopathic alternatives, unlike commercial products,

do not intoxicate the animals' system and spiking the dosage administered.

Unfortunately,

I do not supply transportation. I can help coordinate

and arrange reliable services and handlers should the need arises.

Bring your furbies down for a fiss-free orientation if you need a secure and idyllic space to temporary home them while you are on vacation or attending to committments.

I am fully confident that they will hanker for a subsequent visit. The latter,

as a matter of fact,

is the best litmus test for the proficiency and goodness of a boarding experience.
