Hi, I’m Eileen. I’m patient, meticulous and observant. I’m confident with feeding routines, basic grooming and walking pets. I follow instructions well and I have experiences in petsitting and volunteering at animal shelter.

Growing up, I was always surrounded by pets and I’ve always enjoyed being around with animals. They bring such joy and companionship and each one has its own unique personality. I love building trust with animals and helping them feel relaxed and happy.

I’ve had positive experiences with different kinds of animal. Everything from turtles and fish to hamsters, cats, and even a bunny. I currently share my home with one cat and occasionally care for a friend’s cat who visits regularly.

During my working holiday stints in New Zealand and Australia, I had the chance to do some pet-sitting. I looked after a senior cat and a young golden retriever, taking care of feeding, companionship, and daily walks for the dog. These experiences taught me how to care for animals with different energy levels and needs.

I also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I bottle-fed baby wombats and baby lamb, topped up food for wombats and kangaroos, and even cuddled a rescued baby possum in a warm swaddle to help it feel safe. It was a deeply meaningful experience that taught me the importance of gentle handling and understanding animal behaviour.

I don’t have any qualifications but instructions were given to me to carry out the tasks.
