Hi there! My name is Nikhil and I’m an 18-year-old passionate about animals, especially dogs. I’ve recently finished my final exams and am looking to channel my energy into something I truly care about—working as a dog walker and pet sitter. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and taking care of dogs is something I find incredibly fulfilling.

One of the most important aspects of my life is my rescued dog, Marvel. He’s been with me for about 6 years now, and the bond we’ve built is something really special. Marvel wasn’t always the easiest dog to manage—he came from a difficult background and has some aggressive tendencies. At first, he was wary of everyone, and it was clear he had some trauma to work through. But over time, through patience, trust, and consistent training, we’ve been able to develop a deep and understanding relationship that goes beyond just being owner and pet.

I can proudly say that Marvel and I have made incredible progress. We’ve worked through his aggression in a way that respects his boundaries and needs, and now he’s a lot more comfortable around other dogs and people. It’s taken hours of external training, but the trust we’ve built is something I’m incredibly proud of. Marvel has taught me so much about patience, empathy, and how to communicate with dogs on a deeper level.

Why I Want to Be a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter:

I’ve always been drawn to working with animals, and after my experience with Marvel, I feel I have developed a real sense of responsibility and compassion for dogs of all temperaments. I know how to approach dogs with care, especially those that might be nervous or have behavioral challenges. I’m comfortable with all kinds of dogs, from the playful puppies to the more anxious or reserved ones. I believe every dog is unique and deserves personalised care and attention.

Being a dog walker and pet sitter is the perfect job for me right now because it allows me to combine my love for dogs with my desire to help others. I understand how important it is for pet owners to know their dogs are in safe, caring hands while they’re at work or away. I’m committed to providing that peace of mind, knowing how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else.

My experience with Marvel has given me a strong understanding of dog behavior and how to handle different situations with calmness and patience.
