Hi! I'm an animal lover and have a particular soft spot for special needs pets (e.g. FeLV+ and FIV+ cats, pets with CKD, stomatitis and other chronic illnesses) and pets that require socialisation, as these are the pets that require the most help and will benefit most with home care.  

Through caring for my own pets and other companion animals while volunteering with VFA (2016-2017) and a private cat rescue organisation (since 2017), and through my interactions with adopters and fosterers, I understand how stressful it can be to care for these pets – particularly at the beginning when they are scared or skittish and trying to acclimatise to the new environment, or when they suddenly fall ill and you need to figure out how to medicate them or give them subcut fluid therapy etc in the least stressful way. I hope to be able to help these pets (and their owners) in some way, particularly if their owners need to travel, or need an extra pair of hands in caring for their pets.  

I have 4 cats and 1 dog, and one of my special needs cats requires regular medication, injections and subcut fluid therapy. I have fostered several cats previously, including those needing some form of medical management (such as wound cleaning, tube-feeding) or palliative care. I'm a lawyer by day and also hold a Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Wellness Care from Temasek Polytechnic.
