Experience

I am an experienced cat owner. I have had cats since 2012 and have dealt with a large variety of cat personalities from the skittish to the very manja. I currently have 3 cats, my 1st cat crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023.

I also volunteered at the Cat Museum in Singapore for 2 years. Despite its name, it is actually a cat shelter that subscribes to the cage-free philosophy, allowing cats to roam and interact with visitors. I volunteered every Sunday, and my duties ranged from cleaning cages and litterboxes to administering medicine to cats (pilling and applying eye cream) as well as syringe-feeding very young kittens. I am comfortable with medicating cats, however I do not give subcutaneous fluids. I also have experience with socialising feral cats who were initially afraid of humans, by being patient with them and reading their body language.

I personally use a home pet sitter when I travel. My cats get to stay home and there is less disruption to their routine than if I were to put them in boarding. I hope to extend this service to those who also want their pets to experience minimal disruption to their routine while their owners travel.

Expectations

As I have several cats at home, it is not feasible for me to introduce new cats for boarding in my home. This is a very stressful experience both for the existing cats and the new cats. I would advise cat owners to engage a pet sitter who comes to their home, so that their cat remains in familiar territory. You will receive detailed updates on your cat's behaviour while I am pet sitting so that you can enjoy your holiday with peace of mind.
