Hello, I’m Ethel! 🐾

I’m a proud pawrent to my family dog, Buddy, a big, chonky 7-year-old Golden Retriever. I’m a huge animal lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets, and I’m the kind of person who will stop to say hi to animals wherever I am!

I’m patient, attentive, and love getting to know each pet’s individual personality. Whether they’re energetic, shy, cuddly, or somewhere in between, your pet will get plenty of care, attention, playtime and cuddles while you’re away. 

During doggy day care and boarding, my husband and I will be looking after your dog at my own home, where they can enjoy a comfortable and calm environment. Buddy will stay at my parents’ home during these periods, so your dog will have my full attention and won’t need to share the space with another dog. 

Services available

🐶 Doggy Day Care
A comfortable, home-based environment with no children, where your dog can enjoy company, attention, playtime and plenty of rest throughout the day. Perfect for dogs who enjoy having someone around while their owners are at work or out for the day.

I’m also happy to take your dog for at least one walk during the day, if required.

🏠 Dog Boarding
Overnight care in a home environment, with regular attention, walks, playtime, cuddles and plenty of downtime. Your dog will be treated like part of the family and have a comfortable space to settle in.

I’m happy to take your dog for at least one walk each day, if required.

Things to note

• While my husband and I will try our best to be home as much as possible, there may be occasions when we need to step out. Your dog should therefore be comfortable being left alone for a couple of hours at a time and able to settle independently at home.
• Dogs should be comfortable around people and able to settle in a home environment.
• Please let me know beforehand if your dog has any separation anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding or other behavioural traits that I should be aware of. No judgement at all, it simply helps me provide the right care.
• Please provide your dog’s usual leash/harness, food, treats and any medication, along with clear feeding or medication instructions where applicable.
• Please let me know about any dietary restrictions, allergies or medical conditions beforehand.
• Dogs should be up to date on their vaccinations and free from contagious illnesses, fleas and ticks at the time of their stay.
• For boarding, please provide an emergency contact and preferred vet details in case anything unexpected happens.
• I’ll do my best to maintain your dog’s usual routine, including meals, walks, playtime and rest, as much as possible.
• For first-time stays, I recommend a short trial/daycare session beforehand so we can make sure your dog is comfortable in the environment and get to know each other.
• Feel free to share your dog’s usual routine, personality, favourite activities and anything that helps them feel comfortable. The more I know, the better I can care for them!
