Hi, I'm Lucien, I'm 38 and I work in film production for a living. Besides films, dogs are my other love. I want to become a pet sitter because it feels like the perfect side passion: getting to play with dogs and getting paid for it? Yes, please!

I completely lucked out during my national service (for our foreign friends: Singaporean males must do a mandatory 2-year national service), where I served as a K9 handler for the SCDF search platoon (2010-2012). My two years there were spent taking care of the 20 working dogs - from feeding them, washing them, grooming them, to playing with them, taking care of their wellbeing in general. We trained with them daily in search and rescue, fire investigation, and post-blast (now defunct).

It was also where I had the chance to adopt my first ever dog, Todd, a yellow Labrador retriever who happened to be retrenched. He became my best friend at home until he crossed the rainbow bridge in 2018.

Honestly, I’m hoping pet-sitting can help fill the giant good-boy-shaped void he left behind.
