If you live around Buona Vista, Holland or Dover and would like someone nearby to drop by and care for your kitties while you’re away, my husband Brandon and I would be happy to help!

We have two rescue kitties of our own, Billie and Frankie, who have taught us a lot about patience, trust and caring for cats with very different needs.

Billie was heavily traumatised and after being moved from shelter to shelter, he struggled to find a home for a long time, so we eventually took him in. Even after four years of rehabilitation, he still doesn’t allow us to touch him. And that’s completely okay! We’re happy as long as he feels safe, comfortable and loved.

Frankie came to us very sick and malnourished. We nursed her back to health, but she remains a very petite little girl who relies on hand feeding for every meal.

Because of our own experiences, we completely understand how difficult it can be to leave your babies in the care of someone else. We used to be very anxious travellers ourselves and felt so guilty whenever we had to leave our cats behind.

Depending on your cat’s routine and needs, we can:

• Feed wet and dry food according to their usual schedule
• Hand-feed them if they’re fussy, nervous or need a little extra encouragement
• Refresh their water and wash their food and water bowls
• Scoop and clean their litter boxes, including washing them when needed
• Give them plenty of playtime, attention and company
• Spend some quiet time with them if they prefer cuddles, or simply hang out nearby if they’re more independent
• Give them space if they’re shy or nervous, and never force interaction
• Keep an eye out for anything unusual in their eating, drinking, behaviour or litter habits
• Send you plenty of photos and videos with every visit, so you can see how your babies are doing while you’re away ❤️

We’re also happy to help with a few little things around the home while you’re away, such as collecting your mail and keeping things tidy. We know that having someone check in on the home as well as the cats can give you a little extra peace of mind.

As we both work, we’d ideally like to care for cats in the Buona Vista, Holland or Dover area. Being nearby also means we can pop by quickly if anything unexpected happens.
