In 2023, I changed my career for Scav, my 18-year-old labrador, after he became immobile and required 24/7 pallatative care. Since his passing in Jan 2025, it has remained the same.

I am a 100% work from home, long before the pandemic normalised it.

I created a dog community group on Whatsapp in Katong/Joo chiat during the pandemic, largely to help my dog meet new friends when I moved into the neighborhood. If you live in the area, drop me a message to join.

I regularly dog sit for my neighbors from the group, from retrievers to SSs, hounds, and corgis. I am careful about dog nutrition, mental stimulation, and safety, so your dog will be in good hands.

About my services

1) Walks
- Only dogs from the same household are walked in a single session.
- I practice vibe walking which essentially is a leisurely stroll where the dog's nose sets the pace and direction, allowing them to stop and sniff at will. These walks provide mental stimulation, reduce stress, and offer more enriching exercise than a typical walk.
- Each vibe walk should last at least an hour.
- The walking route include popular scent waypoints (locations where many dogs like to mark). Basically social media for dogs.
- The walking route is varied and spans the entirety of Katong and Joo Chiat.
- I will provide my own Ruffwear harness (XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL) and weight-appropriate leash for your dog during the walk for their comfort and safety.
- Each harness is equipped with its own Ruffwear safety light and Apple Airtag.
- If your dog is not innoculated against Leptospirosis, we will not visit areas with high dog traffic.
- Travel expenses are activated only during incremental weather (I dont want to cycle over in the rain 🤣).

2) Home visits and stays
- This service is only provided if the home owner has installed indoor cameras.

3) Daycare
- Daycare: Monday to Friday, 8am - 6.30pm.
- Pickup beyond 6.30pm will incur an additional flat rate of $10/dog up till 9pm latest.
- Pickups after 9pm will be charged as overnight boarding.

4) Overnight boarding
- Drop off: 8.30am or after.
- Pick up: 24 hours after drop off or earlier.
- A grace period of three hours for pickup will be given, after which the daycare rate will apply.
- There will be a maximum of two pets in my home at any time.
- I host up to two pets. If you require your pet to be solo, there is an additional $20/day charge.

5) Related matters

5.1) Your pet
- Pets must be non-aggressive, de-ticked, and up to date with recommended innoculations by AVS.
- Additionally, cats must be recently screened for FIV.
- A meet and greet is required for dog walk and house visit guests.
- A complimentary trial stay is required for daycare and overnight boarding guests.

5.2) Medical
- I was paramedic-trained and that knowledge has translated well into general first aid and pallatative care for dogs. So dogs with both basic and advanced medical needs will be well looked after.
- Basic medical needs are defined as oral and application of external medication.
- Advanced medical needs are defined as regulating IV drips, EMS therapy, changing of bandages, chronic wound cleaning, and application of medication through intramuscular injections or catheters.
- Advanced medical needs are charged seperately.
- My home is well-stocked with human-grade first aid materials, including external dressings (3M, B. Braun, Molnlycke, Smith+Nephew), irrigation (Chlorhexidine, normal saline), and wound dressings (Prontosan, Idosorb, Intrasite, iodine).

5.3) Time spent
- Your dog will never be left alone.
- If I have an errand or a meeting, your pup will tag along.
- All my non-pet clients are pet-friendly businesses.
- The above does not apply to cats. 🤣

5.4) The stay enviroment
- My home has no interior walls and is designed to be pet-safe.
- It is breezy and filled with sunlight.
- Your pet will have free rein over the apartment.
- The apartment is equipped with canine physiotherapy equipment, three baskets of toys, treats, and for feline guests, plenty of catnip toys.

5.5) Grooming
- Ear cleaning, teeth and coat brushing, nail filing, and bathing is subjected to your pet's degree of coorperation.
- With the exception of teeth brushing, grooming is offered only for guests whose duration of stay exceeds six days.
