About Michelle (Animal Shelter Volunteer)
My love for animals has inspired me to volunteer at MercyLight Animal Rescue and Sanctuary since 2023. For over a decade (from 2011), I have chosen to forgo vacations to care for my incredibly special late Siberian Husky, who can be a little shy and somewhat aggressive.
I've earned the trust of my neighbours, who often ask me to look after their pets while they're away, knowing how much I adore animals! Currently, I am fortunate to share my home with an adopted 11-year-old Singapore Special. While she may not be the friendliest towards humans, she has a big heart for the dogs and cats that come to stay with us!
I’ve had the joy of boarding and fostering a variety of pets, including playful puppies as young as 4 months old, two sweet cats from the same family, several young dogs, a 14-year-old senior pup, a blind dog, and even a dog battling inflammatory bowel disease and throat ulcers. Each experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to boarding more animals!
As a dedicated, experienced dog lover, I provide premium home-based dog boarding right here in Bukit Panjang. Your pup will enjoy a safe, cage-free environment with a consistent routine, ample playtime, and as many walks a day as long as they need. I have experience with various toy breeds, stubborn dogs, timid dogs, sick dogs, and even aggressive dogs. It doesn't matter what dog you have, I simply love to surround myself with them. I find peace and happiness when I'm surrounded by pets. They bring me joy. They make me happy.
About my services:
- I can administer medication to pets.
- I can board up to 4 dogs (medium to small) or 2 big dogs at the same time.
- Because of my experience as a volunteer at animal shelters, I can walk up to 2 big dogs.
- Typically, one walk will be at least 30 mins. If a longer walk is foreseen, water will be provided during the walks.
- For outdoor-trained dogs, they'll get 2 long walks and 2 short pee breaks. My dog is outdoor trained too.
- I love to bring the dogs for outings. Sometimes we'll go to nearby nature reserves like Dairy Farm. Sometimes Jurong Lake, West Coast Park and our favourite is Labrador Park.
- Your pets will not be left alone for longer than 3 hours during dog boarding, and no longer than 1 hour during daycare.
- My home may not be big, but what matters to any dog is the human companion and sufficient walks and play.
- I share my home with my hubby and our Singapore Special. She's totally chill to have any other dogs boarding here.
- Your dog will sleep anywhere they choose. It's up to them.
